Banks and corporations have invested in the St. Louis Equity Funds (SLEF) and Housing Missouri Equity Funds (HMEF) since 1988 to help bring affordable housing and historic preservation to the St. Louis area and throughout the State of Missouri in cities such as Kansas City, St. Joseph, and Cape Girardeau, and to Southern Illinois.

SLEF and HMEF investments finance the construction of housing, but even more importantly, they help build strong communities for the residents. The need for decent, safe and sanitary housing continues to grow and we have a long way to go to meet this need, but each year our investments help build stronger communities and revitalize neighborhoods.
